Terms of Service

The deal between you and PAPI, written to be read. If a clause here needs a law degree to parse, we consider that a bug: tell us and we’ll fix the wording.

The short version

  • Your project data is yours. We get a licence to store and serve it, nothing more.
  • Refunds are real. 14 days, full refund, no questions asked. You can cancel anytime after that.
  • PAPI is early-access software. It works, we use it daily, and it is provided as-is while it matures.
  • Don’t abuse the service and we won’t need most of the clauses below.

The service

PAPI is a project intelligence layer for AI-assisted development: a hosted dashboard at getpapi.ai and an MCP server your AI coding tool connects to. It plans, tracks, and remembers your project across cycles. It does not write code; your AI does that.

By creating an account or connecting the MCP server you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.

Your account

You need to be 16 or older. Keep your credentials and API keys to yourself; anything done with them counts as done by you, so tell us fast if a key leaks and we’ll revoke it. One person per account: sharing a login across a team isn’t supported, inviting collaborators to your project is.

Acceptable use

Use PAPI to manage your projects. Don’t:

  • Break the law with it, or store content that’s illegal to store
  • Probe, overload, or attack the service, or try to reach other users’ data
  • Resell access, scrape the service, or hammer the API beyond honest use
  • Impersonate someone else or misrepresent your affiliation

If something you want to do sits in a grey area, ask first. We’re easy to reach and hard to offend.

Payment, cancellation & refunds

The core loop is free, on up to three projects, and stays that way. Pro is a paid subscription billed through Stripe, monthly or yearly.

Refunds: 14 days, full refund, no questions asked. If Pro isn’t earning its keep, tell us within two weeks of your first payment and we send the money back.

Cancellation: anytime. Cancel and you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for, then your account moves to Free. Nothing is deleted; every project, cycle, and decision stays exactly where it was.

Founding price: the first 500 Pro builders lock €20 a month (€16 on yearly billing). That price holds for as long as your subscription stays active, through every price rise. Cancel and return after the founding window closes, and the price at that time applies.

Prices can change for new subscribers; we’ll always announce that ahead of time. Taxes are added where the law requires it.

Your data

Everything you put into PAPI (tasks, plans, decisions, briefs, notes) belongs to you. You grant us a licence to store, process, and display that content for exactly one purpose: operating the service for you. We don’t sell it and we don’t train AI models on it. The trust page spells out who can technically access what.

You can export your board to CSV anytime, and you can ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it (see your rights).

Liability

PAPI is early-access software from a one-person company, provided as-is and as-available. We work hard to keep it up and your data safe, and we publish our status, but we can’t promise zero downtime or zero bugs, and you shouldn’t run anything life-critical on it.

In plain words: keep your own backups of anything you can’t afford to lose, and our total liability to you is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law says can’t be limited.

Termination

You can leave whenever you like: cancel your subscription, export your data, ask us to delete the rest. We can suspend or close accounts that break the acceptable-use rules, and where practical you’ll get a warning and a chance to export first. Suspension without notice is reserved for abuse that puts the service or other users at risk.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them, and the update is noted in the changelog. For changes that matter (pricing mechanics, data handling, liability), registered users get an email before the change takes effect. Keeping your account after that means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, where PAPI’s operator is registered as a self-employed professional.
